ABOUT ME

Profile4_edited.jpg

Hi, I am Katherine Morton, a UK-based 2D/3D character animator, illustrator, and content creator.

I studied at Norwich University of the Arts, graduating in 2021 with an MA in Moving Image and Sound, and in 2019 with a BA (Hons) degree in Animation.

In 2021, I completed my latest short 2D animated film, Wish I Was There, which initially began as a concept trailer for my Masters Project.
In 2019, I Produced, Co-Directed and animated the collaborative short CGI-animated film, Dimension Ink. In addition, I also create my own short animations, and am continuing to do so alongside illustration.

With a background in both traditional and digital art, my work is inspired by nature and wildlife. I am interested in the conservational link between humans and nature, and how nature can positively effect us, and I aim to express this through my work.

I also create illustrations, and had my work, Learning is Part of the Processor, published in Storehouse magazine in 2019. I am currently experimenting with static and moving illustration, painting, sketching, and storytelling in my free time. I enjoy photography and recording sounds of wildlife and the coast, and like to utilise these within my animations.

My latest work can be found in the Portfolio tab of my website, under Animation, Illustration, or Photography. You can also follow me on social media to see what I'm working on right now!
